Welcome, I’m so glad you found your way here.
I’m Daniya Samosir, and I believe that our well-being is an Amanah — a sacred trust.
There comes a moment, often in the quieter years after 40, when life gently invites us to slow down and look inward. For many of us, it’s not so much a choice as a season we find ourselves in — a time of change, of loss, or simply a quiet longing to return to ourselves beneath all the roles we hold for everyone else. If that’s where you are right now, please know you are not alone, and you are so welcome here.
I created The Widow’s Companion because I know what it feels like to search for a way through the woods and find the path overgrown. This is the space where we clear it together — a sanctuary where faith and wellness aren’t separate pursuits, but gently woven into the rhythm of everyday life.
A Path of Intentional Living
I’m not here to offer theory or frameworks — I speak from lived experience, from navigating life’s hills and valleys as a Muslim woman who has had to find her footing, again and again. I’ve come to believe that real growth happens when we step out of the noise and quietly realign our hearts with our Creator through small, steady choices that fit our lives. My approach brings together two things that have genuinely helped me: faith-centered guidance rooted in Islamic values and prophetic traditions that bring ease and clarity to our daily lives, and the healing power of nature — hiking trails, fresh air, and simple one-pot recipes that nourish the body and settle the mind.
Why I’m Here
I’m not here to be your teacher — I’m here to be your companion. My own journey through the forest taught me that we don’t need more rules; we need more reminders of our own strength, and of the Mercy that has been around us all along. I’m here to walk beside you, one step and one prayer at a time.
Is This Sanctuary for You?
If you’re a Muslim woman 40+ who is looking for practical, faith-based ways to move through life’s transitions, who is ready to trade the hustle for something slower and more intentional, who wants to reconnect with her body through movement and the outdoors, and who is longing to build a life rooted in self-compassion and spiritual truth — then you have found your people, and I’m so glad you’re here.
